Nicole Tirado-Strayer is a Research Associate in WestEd’s Center for Prevention and Early Intervention (CPEI). Dr. Tirado-Strayer has served as a research scientist on a number of psychological studies, including the Chicago School Readiness Project (CSRP), the Promoting Learning, Understanding Self-Regulation (PLUS) Project, and the Stanford Project on Adaptation and Resilience in Kids (SPARK). Her research measures the impact of neighborhood, school, and family factors on children’s social and emotional and academic trajectories. She currently evaluates several state and local projects focused on improving programs and policies in support of children and youth with, or at risk for, disabilities.
