Michael (mfmaier@stanford.edu) is a researcher at the Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim, Germany. He is a Ph.D. student at the University of Freiburg, Germany. His research interests are the evaluation of active labor market programs for youth, economics of education, and labor economics. His current research projects are the role of mobility on returns to education, educational degrees and associated earnings risks, and the influence of risk preferences on wage growth. Michael is spending four month at the Center for Education Policy Analysis at Stanford University, under the supervision of Prof. Eric Bettinger.
