Ishita Ahmed

Ishita Ahmed (iahmed2@stanford.edu) is a PhD student in International Comparative Education at Stanford University and an IES Fellow. Her research examines how to promote equitable education for marginalized communities in the U.S. and low-and-middle-income countries. Her work aims to improve measurement of psychological constructs that contribute to student outcomes and integrate them into economic analyses of education intervention effectiveness.

Previously, she worked with Innovations for Poverty Action on randomized controlled trial research in Bangladesh and Ghana. Ishita has a MA in Economics from University of Maryland-College Park and a BA in Economics and International Relations at The College of William and Mary.
