Elisa completed her doctorate in the Developmental and Psychological Sciences program at the Stanford Graduate School of Education in 2017. While at Stanford, she was an Institute for Education Sciences fellow, working with Jelena Obradović and Deborah Stipek. Her research interests relate to the effects of the classroom environment on the cognitive, academic, and social-emotional development of preschool-aged dual language learners. Before coming to Stanford, Elisa worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Women's Policy Research and the American Institutes for Research in Washington, D.C. She holds a B.A. in psychology and Spanish language and literature from Kenyon College. age learners.
