Undergraduate Research Student
Violet (violett@stanford.edu) is a first-year undergraduate hailing from Portland, Oregon. Her passion for education policy was sparked as a high school student when she served on her public school district Superintendent's Student Advisory Council. Interested in education's intersections with race, class, and gender inequality, Violet envisions studying some combination of Sociology, Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, and History as an undergraduate. When not in a classroom, you can find Violet on campus as a Freshman Intern with the Stanford NAACP, poetry writer and performer with the Spoken Word Collective, and activist with Stanford Students for Queer Liberation. This summer, she will be interning in the Office of the Superintendent at the California Department of Education. Currently working for Professor Eric Bettinger at CEPA.
