The Responsive Classroom (RC) approach is an elementary school social and emotional learning intervention designed to improve teachers' capacity to manage their classroom effectively, enhance children's social and emotional skills, and engage students in instruction. Like many professional development interventions used in schools, the RC approach is widely used by educators but has not been well-researched.
