Tyler's current research focuses on how racial segregation affects the daily lives of individuals. He draws from a variety of data models and algorithms in order to investigate social systems. Broadly, he is interested in schooling, meritocracy, and spatial inequality. Tyler has bachelor's degrees in mathematics and sociology from the University of Utah.
