Sara Dozier

Sara Dozier was a Ph.D. student in curriculum and teacher education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education and is a recipient of the Institute of Education Sciences Predoctoral Training Fellowship. Her research interests include using large publicly available assessment data sets to examine relationships between instructional strategies and student knowledge in K-12 science classrooms. She is particularly interested in how these factor into equitable educational experiences for all students. Sara earned a B.A. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an M.S. in Biological Science from the University of California, San Diego. She worked as a biological researcher for nearly a decade before teaching high school science. She also worked as a science coordinator at the Alameda County Office of Education, facilitating teacher professional learning.
