Monique Harrison

Current Position: 

Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education

Monique is an NSF postdoctoral fellow within the Department of Education Policy and Higher Education at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. 

While a doctoral student at Stanford, Monique was a predoctoral IES fellow and a recipient of the Clayman Institute for Gender Research Dissertation Fellowship. She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology of Education in 2022. Her current research focuses on inequality in undergraduate pathways and is still active in Stanford Pathways Lab. She employs both qualitative and descriptive methods to interrogate environments of choice in higher education.

In addition, Monique holds an M.A. in Sociology from Stanford, an M.Ed. in School Leadership from Harvard University, and a B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University. She holds active teacher and administrative credentials and spent 7 years in classroom and administrator roles before entering graduate school.
