Delina Zapata

Delina is a McNair Scholar from DePaul University in Chicago. She is currently a rising senior at DePaul, majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in Spanish. She is interested in the longitudinal effects of early childhood policies, instructional programs designed to serve English language learners, and the development of academic achievement gaps. Delina will be spending the summer working with Dr. Sean Reardon and a team of graduate students at the Center for Education Policy Analysis at Stanford University. She will be working on a project examining the patterns and trends in racial, gender, and socioeconomic achievement gaps across the United States.
