Rebecca (firstname.lastname@example.org) is a doctoral student in Sociology and an IES fellow. She earned her BS in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and a M.Ed. in Educational Policy and Leadership from Marquette University. Before coming to Stanford, she taught high school math in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is interested in the relationship between school policies — such as discipline or dress codes — and race- and class-based inequalities, the college application process, and the transition to higher education for first-generation college students.
