Luana Marotta completed her doctorate in International Comparative Education and Sociology of Education at Stanford University in 2017. Previously she earned a bachelor degree in Social Sciences at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG-Brazil) and a M.A. degree in Sociology at the University of New Brunswick (UNB-Canada). In her dissertation, Luana investigated the impact of school factors on educational outcomes in Brazil. Luana works as a consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank and is currently involved in a comparative study of school finance in Latin America.
