Ibrahima Tounkara

Ibrahima is a rising junior pursuing a Mathematical and Computational Science (MCS) degree at Stanford University. He is from Senegal and is strongly interested in education. Ibrahima hopes to bring some positive changes in the Senegalese education system through innovative social entreprises that mainly target the enhancement of students’ performance as well as their access to educational and professional opportunities. He firmly believes that his country’s best asset for development remains education and that modern and adapted education policies must be implemented. In the future, he envisions to create adapted technologies to populations’ context of living in order to empower them through education.

Ibrahima will be a Resident Assistent in Mirrielees. He is also interested in Entrepreneurship especially focused on the African continent. He will serve as the Vice President of the Stanford Africa Entrepreneurship Network (SAEN). He is currently supporting Sean Reardon at CEPA.
