Eligibility

4-year Fellows: PhD students in the Graduate School of Education are eligible to apply. Students should have a demonstrated interest in research relevant to education policy (broadly conceived) and the promise of developing strong quantitative skills. In order to be eligible for the 4-year Program, PhD students must be in the first or second year of their PhD program.

2-year Fellows: PhD students in the Graduate School of Education or in one of the Social Science disciplines are eligible to apply. Students should have a demonstrated interest in research relevant to education policy (broadly conceived) and the promise of developing strong quantitative skills. In order to be eligible for the 2-year Program, PhD students must be in the second or third year of their PhD program.

Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to receive funding through the Training Program (non-citizens/residents may participate in the Program, but are not eligible for funding). Renewal of Training Program funding in subsequent years is conditional on meeting annual Program requirements.
